It is the shell only. No circuit board, transponder chip, battery or electronics are included — those are transferred from your existing remote.

Does the emergency key blade come with it?

No. This listing is for the housing alone. The emergency insert blade is sold separately and must be cut to your vehicle's lock.

Do I need to reprogram the key after fitting the shell?

No. Because the original circuit board is reused, the key remains paired to your Fiat 500 and no programming is required.

What do the four buttons do?

How to Replace the Shell

Remove the emergency key blade from the original remote, if fitted.
Split the original housing carefully with a plastic pry tool and lift out the circuit board and battery.
Seat the board and button contacts into the new shell, checking that all four buttons align with the pad.
Refit the battery, bring the two halves together, and press until every clip engages.
Test Unlock, Lock, Trunk, and Light before handing the key over.
