Not your average user tool.
it's for locksmiths who know what they are doing.

This device will not program anything to your car, there is no way to connect it to your car.
it is used to clone keys with the appropriate super chip and generate xhorse universal remotes which, once the remote is generated, will need to be programmed on the vehicle either through an onboard procedure or using another programmer who connects to the vehicle.

so to summarize what I said, to clone your key, first, it must be one of the cloneable types, and second, you MUST use the xhorse XT27A super chip.
you can't just buy a new flashing key and clone your key, it doesn't work that way.
when it comes to remotes, you have a few different types.
Wired, wireless, proximity, etc.

To "generate a universal remote, you need to search in the app for your correct remote by FCC ID number vehicle.
it will tell you what kind of xhorse universal remote it can generate.
For wireless remotes, you need to remove the battery and hook a wire to the remote board for the programmer.

It will generate the remote like the one you selected.
wireless and proximity remotes, you can leave the battery in place, just put it in the coil and program it.
but once the remote is "generated" as needed, you still need to program it to the vehicle either through an onboard programming procedure or a suitable programming device.

This is the tool you need to keep trying until the light from the smart key is flashing,
I was able to read the frequency for Honda keys and from the remote, on a good quality 2007 Cadillac Escalade will recommend
