Installation Steps

Power Supply
1. This product is suitable for the installation of passenger cars with 12V DC power, working currently Between 5-200mA,
after deep sleep (turn off PKE after turning off the car for 72 hours, standby current is 3mA)
2. Black is connected to the body ground, Red is 12V constant current, generally connected to the body's fuse box (10A),
And some vehicles are connected to OBD, BCM, dome light modules, or batteries.

Mercedes-Benz's main strength position:
1. Basically, all external power sources for Mercedes-Benz are limited.
When the original car battery voltage drops to 12V, the external power supply is terminated, and the power supply can only be restored after the original car computer is woke after the installation, we found that the remote control of some vehicles did not work the next day.
After opening the door with the mechanical key or pressing the trunk button, the remote control immediately returned to normal.
2. At present, we can confirm that the parts of the uncontrolled power supply are:

The original car remote control panel welding treatment
1. Keyboard power supply: Almost all keyboards are powered by a CR2032 battery.
Here, our host provides a voltage of 3.3V.
The power supply can be controlled or uncontrolled.
When choosing to control the low-frequency signal of the board, it is not necessary to control the power supply.
When the 6p smart socket cable is not connected, we need to cut off the power supply of the remote control panel after the car is locked to achieve the anti-theft effect.

2. Keyboard control line: There are three types:
A. Completely passive, 95% of switches use this control method.
During the measurement, it was found that one of the button buttons is connected to the ground
(the other corresponding foot is 3V, which is the foot we need for welding and control),
Or a certain button The foot changes from 3V to 0V when pressed positive sum.
During the measurement, it was found that one of the button pins is connected to the positive pole of the battery (the other corresponding pin is 0V,
Which is the pin we need to solder and control), or a certain pin changes from 0 to 3V when pressed.
c. Loop control (two-wire control).
During the measurement, it was found that the button feet and the positive and negative electrodes of the battery did not want to connect,
And the voltage would not change to 0V or 3V when pressed, so this kind of board needs a monitoring loop.
Currently, our products on the market do not support it, and you need to contact the manufacturer to order.

3. Intelligent induction control:
The purpose of induction control is to change the phenomenon that the original car detects that the key is in the car when the car is locked,
The remote control is not sensitive, the trunk is automatically opened, and the window is automatically lowered.
(When connecting the control line, you need to turn the third DIP switch to "ON" for the color of the three line groups.)
During welding, we measured the resistance of each group of the original vehicle inductance to be about 100-800Q between them,
If the resistance is detected outside the area, there is a problem in the welding.

Motherboard Settings

Remote control learning button:

1. Press and hold the white learning button and do not release it, then quickly press the "Lock Car" button of the remote control you want to learn once,
The indicator light will flash when pressed, and the learning is successful.
Check if the device has a battery or disconnect it once and try again.
2. After learning the remote control, if the low-frequency antenna is connected, the indicator light will flash for a long time, and the vehicle can be started at this time.
If the key is left 5 meters away, the light will turn off and the vehicle cannot be started.

Smart Key Box Motherboard Settings

DIP Switch Settings:

1. Tail box mode x2: If the tail box needs to be opened twice, the switch must be turned to the “ ON” position.
2. Backup key: BMW must be switched to the "ON" position.
3. The power supply of the remote control board is not controlled:
The factory default setting is open, and you need to connect 6 wires to the smart socket.
In this case, we will not disconnect the power supply from the original car remote control panel when the car is locked.
If we don't want to solder the 6 wires of the smart socket, we need to turn off the energy,
So we can achieve anti-theft protection (carry the switch and leave the power supply board).
4. Power switch, this switch is on by default in the factory, if it is turned off, it will not be able to supply power to the remote control board.
Some other voltage remote control panels can connect an external lithium-ion battery to the battery holder to supply power to the remote control panel.

Remote Control to Set the Smart Mode:

1-Long press the two [Tailbox plus lock] buttons, and press them at the same time to turn off the sensor function.
It can be activated as long as it is unlocked, but it cannot be activated when it is locked.
2- Press and hold the [Tailbox plus unlock] buttons.
Press both buttons at the same time for 5 seconds to turn on the induction function.
The key can be activated when the key is in the car, but it cannot be activated when the key is taken out of the car.
3- Press the [Unlock and Lock] buttons to activate the PKE induction function for 5 seconds.
When approaching, it will be automatically unlocked, and the car can be started at the same time.
When leaving, it will be automatically locked, and the car will not be able to start at the same time, even if it is unlocked.
The car can only be started when the key is in the car. Description: The low-frequency antenna has two functions.
The first is the feeling that when the key we added is in the car, the car can be started.
If the car key is not in the car, the car cannot be started.
At this time, we only need to change the big one in front of him.
The antenna can be placed anywhere in the car because it senses the key at a distance of five meters.
The second function is to sense that the switch we added is close to the door, automatically open the door, let go of the door, and automatically close the door.
In this case: the two antennas must be placed in front of the windshield and the other one behind the windshield.
4. Antenna arrangement and host placement
Transmitting frequency of high-frequency antenna (remote control receiving antenna):
394MHz We recommend that you install the antenna in a relatively open place, usually behind the lamp switch inside the instrument panel or A-pillar,
Adjust the position Remote control receiving distance can be appropriately adjusted.
Generally speaking, the normal remote control distance is 30-100 meters, depending on the environment.

Low-frequency antenna (PKE key sensor antenna) Transmission frequency:
125 kHz We recommend installing one on the front and rear windshields of the vehicle.
Note: The two antennas must be installed vertically!

If the user does not need the convenient entry function, they cannot install the low-frequency antenna,
Press and hold the remote control [tail box + car lock] for five seconds at the same time (remote control setting),
In this way, the key can start the car as long as the key is unlocked, even if the remote is not in the car.
Users can also install one low-frequency antenna and set the remote control to [tail box + open].
It is used to detect whether the key is not in the car, and it can realize that the key is not in the car, and the unlocking cannot be started.
Host location: Because the original car key is placed in the host box, we need to pay special attention when placing the host and pay attention to its location.
The main sensing point for all vehicles is located below the center guard.
We recommend the following functions:
a. The right side of the visor is above the throttle.
B. under the seat.
C. Ceiling light inside.

Notes :
1. For the original car keyboard installed in the main box, the surface of the low-frequency antenna must be upwards.
2. The surface with the printed mark on the main body shell should be aligned with the direction of the handguard, to better sense the reception of low-frequency signals.
