NXP Smart Key Adapter P/N: MCKB008 For KIA 2018-2022

The MCKB008 Universal NXP Key Programmer Adapter is a solder-free interface board built for KIA smart key remotes. Instead of soldering flying leads onto delicate test points, you seat the key PCB into the 08-QY-V1.11 fixture, close the two adjustable clamps, and the spring-loaded pogo pins make contact automatically.

The adapter supports all NCF29xx series chip remotes, covering the KIA proximity smart keys used across the 2018 to 2022 model years. Individual contact points are marked directly on the board face as SCL, SDA, GND and VCC, while the full pinout is broken out along the bottom edge as MSCL, GND, WAKE, MSDA and VCC, alongside a multi-pin connector socket. A green WAKE probe lead with a gold-plated tip is supplied for remotes that need a wake-up signal before they will respond.

How To Use

  1. Open the KIA smart key shell and carefully remove the remote PCB.
  2. Place the PCB into the 08-QY-V1.11 fixture, matching it to the key outline printed on the board.
  3. Swing both clamps over the board and tighten them so the pogo pins press firmly on the contact points.
  4. Connect the labelled MSCL, MSDA, VCC and GND pins to the matching terminals on your programming device, or use the on-board connector socket.
  5. If the remote requires a wake-up signal, attach the green WAKE probe to the point marked WAKE.
  6. Run the key adding procedure from your tool's software and follow the on-screen prompts.
  7. Loosen the clamps, lift out the PCB, and reassemble the key.
