Which vehicles does the MCKB004 adapter cover?

It is made for older model Nissan and Infiniti smart key remotes that use NXP NCF29xx series chips. Check that your key PCB matches the outline printed on the 04-NS-V2.0 board before use.

Do I need to solder anything?

No. The board uses spring-loaded gold-plated pogo pins. You clamp the key PCB in position and contact is made automatically, so the customer's key stays undamaged.

What do the labels VCC, MSDA, WAKE, GND and MSCL mean?

They are the power and communication lines broken out on the adapter. VCC and GND supply power, MSDA and MSCL carry the data, and WAKE is used to wake the chip so it will respond.

What It Does
