Which vehicles does the MCKB003 adapter cover?

It is designed for Chevrolet smart key remotes from 2019 to 2020. Always check that your key PCB matches the outline printed on the 03-GMC-V1.1 board before use.

Do I need to solder anything?

No. The board uses spring-loaded gold-plated pogo pins. You clamp the key PCB in position and contact is made automatically, so the customer's key is never damaged.

What do the labels MSCL, MSDA, VCC, GND and WAKE mean?

They are the power and communication lines broken out on the adapter. VCC and GND supply power, MSCL and MSDA carry the data, and WAKE triggers the chip to respond.

Is a key programming tool included?

No. The MCKB003 is a hardware adapter only. You will need your own compatible programmer and its software to run the procedure.

The MCKB003 Solder-Free Adapter is a dedicated interface board for Chevrolet smart key remotes. Instead of soldering wires onto the remote's fragile test points, you seat the key PCB into the 03-GMC-V1.1 fixture, close the two clamps, and the spring-loaded pogo pins make contact automatically. It is built for locksmiths and key shops that handle Chevrolet key programming regularly and need a fast, clean, and repeatable connection without risking damage to a customer's key.

A key advantage of this adapter is its broad tool compatibility — it can be used with KYDZ, KD, VVDI, N51 and other common key programmers. All required lines are broken out and clearly silk-screened on the board: MSCL, GND, WAKE, MSDA and VCC, with individual contact points also marked as SCL, SDA, VCC, GND and WAKE next to the key footprint. What It Does

The MCKB003 acts as the physical bridge between a Chevrolet smart key PCB and your key programming device.
