Diagnostic Report Function
Supports ECU reprogramming in both Hyundai and Kia vehicles in J2534 Scroll Mode. It also acts as a J2534 pass-through terminal for other vehicle manufacturers supporting J2534 programming and diagnostics. This requires OEM diagnostic software and the model can be used by CAN-Bus, KWP2000, and ISO9141 protocols. (Exceptions may apply).
Simple Menu Structure
No hassles of identifying the metal tag and finding the correct engine codes. Simply select the diagnostic connector type before selecting the system to test when testing Japanese vehicles. No model code, no engine code, no detailed menu choices required.
Searching for a DTC doesn't take long through "trial and error", as G-scan offers an auto-search function that attempts to connect to the vehicle's "ALL" systems automatically. Reports return with the list of available systems and the number of DTCs for each system. (Note: Not all vehicle selection lists provide a system and automatic search).
With the screen controllability of Android and its 1280p widescreen, a full description of DTCs and data parameter names are supported with G-scan. If it is longer than the screen, the full description will appear in a popup.
Flight Record & Graphical Display
The diagnostic data can be recorded in the road test while the vehicle is running in the real driving condition. The Flight Record can be played back on the G-scan or a larger computer screen. Also, this data can be displayed in graphical waveforms.
Handwritten Memo & Instant Screen Capture
Press the "View Finder" button in the lower right corner, the current screen view is captured instantly and you can place handwritten memos and drawings using fingers or a drawing stylus. The captured image and the memo are saved in memory for retrieval. You can either send the image data to a printer for printing or transfer it to your PC or phone via a Bluetooth pairing connection.
Many field failures are found due to faulty cable and connectors, or problems on the side of the vehicle. G-scan provides a "self-test function" that helps users determine whether the connection problem is caused by the base unit's internal hardware/software causes or by external factors. A full OEM software package is included (excluding ECU reprogramming), select Hyundai or Kia from the list. Users can enjoy the full function and performance of the OEM tool for the leading brands in Korea.
Datalog and quick feedback support
In cases of communication or function failure, users can record the two-way data transmission between the instrument and the vehicle's control systems. This log can be sent to engineers through the log transfer function inside G-scan 3. The submitted data log files will be analyzed, feedback and patch file update may be provided within 24 hours during working days; when necessary.
